Project Summary

The new Sheltering Arms Rehab institute is a joint venture between the Sheltering Arms Hospital and VCU Health Systems in Richmond, VA. This 212,000-square-foot facility consolidates two Sheltering Arms locations and a VCU Health Rehabilitation Hospital to include a total of 114-beds. Located on 25-acres at the West Creek Medical Park, the new institute is a full-service, state-of-the-art destination inpatient rehabilitation hospital focused on caring for individuals who have suffered strokes, spinal cord, or brain injuries. Announced in May 2016, this $119-million facility is slated to open in spring 2020.
